With 2009 right around the corner it seems most people are starting to think about resolutions. A new year is a great time to start fresh and reinvent yourself and your business. If you are one of those people wanting to start the new year with a new brand, you have come to the right place. I am on steps 7 and 8 of the 12 step process put together by AIGA on building a brand and how graphic designers play a vital role.

7.   Delineating Tough Choices So you have these super (or maybe not so super) prototypes made. Now what? If you have a designer or two on your team, they can show you what is working and what is not working. Designers are great at looking at things through the eyes of the consumer and can pinpoint problems. Since we know what works and what doesn’t, we can help you decide what is worth your time and your money.

8.   Helping the Team Work Color…font…paper…printing….the decisions are endless. With a designer by your side you will never have to make these decisions on your own. Designers can help you and your team make the most cost-effective choices and walk you through until the end. They can also help you envision the outcome. Since we often see things very differently, we can explain and show you how the finished product will look and feel.
