Hard Bargain Association  grassroots

The Setup:

Hard Bargain Association (formerly Hard Bargain Mt. Hope Redevelopment) is a grassroots, non-profit organization seeking to restore and redevelop Hard Bargain, a historic African American neighborhood, which has fought for over 100 years to be preserved. HBA works with the residents of this historic neighborhood to restore and rebuild it into what their vision is for the neighborhood and its future. In 2008, Hard Bargain asked JLB to partner in its mission by helping get the word out to raise support.

JLB’s Solution:

After learning more about Hard Bargain Association’s unique mission and history, we set about the task of creating a website that would tell the story of one of Franklin’s oldest neighborhoods, while also enabling facilitating online donations.

Fast forward four years, and JLB has just completed a “brand refresh” for the residential revitalization organization. New logo. New identity collateral. New e-mail marketing design. And, of course, new website.

Deliverables:

  • identity development & branding
  • graphic design & marketing collateral
  • website graphic design
  • website engineering (html, css, php)
  • website content management system
  • e-mail marketing

Comments:

“JLB has done an outstanding job helping us rebrand of our organization: new logo, new website, new materials, and all of the design for our annual fundraising dinner, where we unveiled our new name to the community. They are talented, creative, and innovative. I beyond satisfied with JLB and the stellar service they provide.”
– Brant Bousquet, Executive Director of Hard Bargain Association
